Announcing Two New Qualifications to meet the needs of both Schools and College Staff
Viking Medical are proud to announce two new offerings for school and college staff. These courses recognise the specific needs of staff addressing gaps left by more traditional workplace first aid qualifications like First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work. They address the need to cover CPR for children aged 1 to 18 years, staff involved in outdoor, adventurous and sporting activities and include hot/cold injuries, spinal injuries and fractures - Read more.

The previous UK Government advice for first aiders entitled “COVID-19: guidance for first responders was withdrawn on the 1st of April 2022 and has now been replaced by two documents: -
- COVID-19: infection prevention and control IPC (see website here)

We will continue to provide our learners with individual equipment wherever possible, including CPR manikins, in conjunction with face shields and anti-virucidal cleaning wipes to reduce any risk of cross-infection between learners. We continue to follow the advice of our awarding organisation, ITC First www.itcfirst.org.uk in relation to training events and content.
In terms of Sports Therapy including assessment, massage manual therapies and kinesiology taping, we will continue to follow the advice of our professional bodies including: -
